Yeddi Gözəl Waterfall is located in the Vandam–Gabala valley, rising along the foothills of the Tufandag mountain chain, part of the Greater Caucasus. The waterfall lies at an approximate elevation of 700–800 meters above sea level, within a moist forest belt known for its shade and rich biodiversity.
Water Source & Structure
- Fed by mountain springs, seasonal snowmelt, and underground streams.
- Consists of seven natural tiers, though only the first level is easily accessible.
- Upper levels require climbing nearly 300–400 steps via a steep stone staircase.
- The water flow is strongest from March to June when snow melts.
Seasonal Characteristics
- Spring: Maximum water volume, ideal for photography.
- Summer: Cooler climate compared to Gabala city center; often crowded.
- Autumn: Rich foliage creates golden scenery; moderate water levels.
- Winter: In harsh winters, sections may freeze, forming icicles.
The dense forest creates a microclimate with high humidity, making the area significantly cooler—up to 5–8°C lower than Gabala during summer.
